Westbound lanes of Interstate 70 are shut down at Gypsum as of 9:30 Monday morning due to a fire, according to an Eagle County Alert.

The closure is at Exit 140, while the fire is near mile marker 137, as seen from Colorado Department of Transportation cameras.

Over the last couple of weeks, multiple fires have shut down Interstate 70 in that area, including spot fires on Thursday, June 26, the Red Canyon Fire near Wolcott along I-70 that broke out Wednesday, June 18, and spot fires that were quickly doused along the interstate the previous weekend.
