Lions Ridge Loop above Timber Ridge Village to close temporarily
Temporary road closure will affect the bus route

Chris Dillmann/Vail Daily
The town of Vail will close Lions Ridge Loop between Savoy Villas and Moraine Drive from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. June 16 through 20 for rockfall mitigation work. The closure will affect pedestrians, through traffic and the Lions Ridge Loop bus route.
Local traffic will still have access to all neighboring properties. During the closure, the Lions Ridge Loop bus route will operate as an out-and-back route from the Vail Transportation Center to the Grand Traverse bus stop. The Simba Run and Sandstone bus stops on the east side will be served only by the Sandstone Route.
In preparation for the work, crews have installed jersey barriers along the northern property boundary adjacent to Lions Ridge Loop to protect downslope properties, including construction crews operating at Timber Ridge Village. Construction on the 302-home multifamily complex is well underway, with project completion scheduled for June 2026.
