BOULDER, Colorado – Kevin Michael McGregor was charged Wednesday with first-degree murder in the fatal shooting of Edwards resident Todd Walker early Friday on University Hill in Boulder.
The 22-year-old Longmont man was charged with two counts of first-degree murder: murder after deliberation with the intent to cause death; and felony murder, which is murder while committing another felony.
Both charges come with a mandatory life sentence in prison upon conviction, and Boulder County District Attorney Stan Garnett said his office is reviewing whether to pursue the death penalty.
McGregor was also charged with criminal attempt to commit aggravated robbery and possession of a weapon by a previous offender.
