Dr. Mark Ramsey joined the staff at West Springs Hospital in Grand Junction. He is among a handful of mental health professionals who will add to the area's mental health resources.

GLENWOOD SPRINGS — Mind Springs Health, the largest western slope provider of mental health treatment, and West Springs Hospital announced that the programs will be increasing psychiatric staff and resources for the Western Slope.

Returning to Grand Junction after eight years in Mississippi, with both outpatient and inpatient responsibilities, is Mark Ramsey, MD. Board-certified in psychiatry, Dr. Ramsey was attending psychiatrist at St. Mary’s Medical Center prior to its psychiatric unit closure. As a result of that closure and others in Montrose and Durango, West Springs Hospital was opened to provide the Western Slope with its only psychiatric beds. Ramsey’s professional interests and strengths include treating mood disorders, post-traumatic stress disorders and neuropsychiatric conditions as well as working with our senior population.
