For six weeks, the Miracle pop-up bar will take over the Lookout Bar at the Westin Riverfront Resort & Spa in Avon and is certain to get everyone, even your Grinch-like friends, into the swing of things during the most wonderful time of the year.

Lookout Bar, which opened in the spring of 2024, is a top Colorado après ski destination. The bar is known for concocting ridiculously cool cocktails served in dramatic ways accompanied with delectable bites surrounded by panoramic views. The Lookout Bar sits on the fifth floor on the southeastern edge of Riverfront Village and offers a never-before-seen vantage point of Beaver Creek, Game Creek Bowl, the Eagle River and the central valley of Eagle County. Miracle is a Christmas-themed pop-up cocktail bar that serves holiday cocktails in a festive setting. “The Miracle Pop-Up Bar brings an entirely new level of holiday magic to The Westin Riverfront. Our team has poured incredible creativity and care into every detail—from the cocktails to the décor—to deliver an immersive experience that surprises and delights our guests,” said Alejandro Cerda Covarrubias, director of food and beverage at The Westin Riverfront Resort & Spa in Avon. “We’re proud to offer a space where the community can gather, celebrate and create memorable moments together. This pop-up embodies our commitment to innovation and exceptional hospitality, and we couldn’t be more excited to share it.”

Wear your ugly Christmas sweater and get ready to order nostalgic cocktails with a twist or new creations that you simply must experience once you’ve read the descriptions on the menu. The Dancing Sugarplums blends gin, limoncello, plum wine, plum milk syrup, lemon, tiki bitters and nutmeg. Or, try Miracle classics like the Christmapolitan or Snowball Old-Fashioned, which are sure to brighten spirits with traditional flavors of gingerbread, spiced cranberry sauce, elderflower and absinthe.

Making its mountain debut, Miracle at Lookout Bar will enchant guests with an irresistible mix of all-new holiday cocktails, returning fan favorites, and for the first time ever a curated menu of zero-proof drinks designed to deliver all the cheer, no spirits required.

The vessels these drinks are served in are worth ordering another drink just to see the creativity. The Candy Cane Lane comes in the legendary Christmas unicorn mug while the Cheery Cherry Chocosaurus comes in a festively decorated dinosaur mug.

You may have heard of the Miracle pop-up bars before. The concept has been around since 2014. It started when Greg Boehm was going to open a cocktail bar in the East Village in New York City. His mother suggested he do a holiday-themed bar serving holiday drinks surrounded by all sorts of Christmas decorations. Crowds flocked to the spectacle, and Boehm realized he was onto something that could be bigger and reach a broader audience. Since then, Miracle has hosted pop-ups all across the globe.

Now, that festive experience can be yours. Lookout Bar will host the concept and all its kitschy décor until Dec. 30. Reservations are required and you and your party will reserve a 90-minute time frame between Lookout Bar’s operating hours of 3-9 p.m. Miracle at Lookout Bar is open to those 21 years of age and older.

“To ensure that everyone has the opportunity to enjoy this incredible holiday activation, we kindly ask guests to follow the 90-minute table limit,” Covarrubias said. “This timing allows each group to fully experience the celebration for an hour and a half while also helping us release tables in a timely manner to accommodate new guests throughout the event.”

The Lookout Bar will be serving food from its regular menu to accompany the Miracle libations, so grab your posse for a fun experience unlike anything the Vail Valley has seen.

“We expect to see a mix of Eagle County locals and visitors, especially as we get closer to the peak holiday break,” Covarrubias said. “This immersive experience is perfect for all types of groups. The space is also available for buyouts for corporate and small business holiday gatherings.”
