Multiple people have reported seeing a mountain lion in the area of 901 W Beaver Creek Boulevard, or the Aspens Mobile Home Park in west Avon, according to an Eagle County Alert.

Videos posted to Eagle County Classifieds showed a lion sitting in a tree, reportedly in west Avon, Wednesday evening.

“If it’s something where the mountain lion is showing that stalking behavior where it’s following, things like that, or if unfortunately a mountain lion does get your pet, do give us a call,” said Rachel Gonzales, a public information officer with Colorado Parks and Wildlife.

Parks and Wildlife did not intervene Wednesday evening, as the lion was exhibiting normal behavior being in a tree.

“It’s never a bad idea to give us a call anyways just to give us a heads up,” Gonzales added.
