In Loving Memory of Tommy Gregg

With heavy hearts, we share the unexpected passing of Thomas “Tommy” James Gregg on November 25th, at the age of 42. A devoted husband, father, son, son-in-law, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, godfather, and friend, Tommy’s vibrant spirit touched everyone who knew him.

He was born in Denver, Colorado, and grew up in Evergreen, Colorado. He attended Mullen High School and earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Colorado, Boulder.

A passionate home builder, Tommy worked alongside his father, Jim, at Gregg & Co Builders Inc., creating beautiful homes across Colorado—from Denver to Evergreen to the Vail Valley. He loved the creative side of the building process, turning sticks and bricks into one-of-a-kind works of art where families could grow and make lasting memories. All who Tommy worked with enjoyed his great ability to communicate bilingually, his smiling positive attitude, and his genuine ability to make everyone feel important and appreciated.

Tommy was an outstanding athlete. From playing all the sports in his youth with great success, to enjoying his lifelong loves, golf and skiing. He could glide through the fall line of a bump run with the best of them, or win the club championship, on any given day. He truly loved sports and passed that love on to his children.

Tommy lived life to the fullest. Whether skiing down mountain slopes, teeing off on the golf course, dancing at weddings, or cheering on his kids from the sidelines, he brought joy and positive energy wherever he went. He loved all types of music. Music was an important part of his everyday. He also had an insatiable appetite for knowledge and always believed there was more to learn about life.

Tommy’s infectious laugh, beaming smile, and magnetic presence made him truly special and unforgettable. He was a loyal friend, a trusted confidant, and a source of strength and inspiration to many people. His advocacy and charitable fundraising for men’s health, especially through his work with the Movember charity, is helping to change awareness of men’s health issues, and is a legacy of his deep commitment to helping others. He bravely fought his own cancer battle and won. Since the onset of his diagnosis, in September 2024, he considered himself blessed and encouraged others to “stay blessed,” and have gratitude in whatever battle they were facing.

Above all, Tommy’s greatest joy was his family. He is survived by the love of his life, beloved wife of 18 years and high school sweetheart, Jessica, and their three children: Jameson (17), Gabriella (15), and Jackson (13). He also leaves behind his parents, Jim and Laurie Gregg of Vail, Colorado, his sister Kate, her husband Dan, and their son Charlie of Windsor, Colorado in addition to the Ciarvella family including his in-laws, Ray and Julie Ciarvella, Jenna and William McKinlay (kids Dante, Enzo, Leo) and Jodi and Jared Yannocito (kids Stella, Vinny and Giuliana) of Denver, Colorado and Norma Porreco of Arvada, Colorado, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Even in his final days, Tommy’s generosity endured. Through organ donation, he gave the gift of life to others in one final act of love, from a man who always gave his all.

A celebration of Tommy’s life will be held at a later date. In his honor, a charitable foundation, Tommy’s Blessings, will be established to continue his legacy of giving back. For more information, and to be placed on a future donor list please contact jessica@tommysblessings.org

Tommy, your light lives on in every life you touched, every home you built, and every memory we hold dear.
