Patricia H. Barry

Patricia “Pat” H. Barry, 87, of Utica, New York, passed away in Littleton, surrounded by family, friends and her strong faith Sept. 20.

She was preceded in death by her husband Leo C. Barry and daughter Kathleen Olson. Together they raised seven children in the Utica, New York, area, before Pat relocated to Colorado in 2008. Her surviving children, Colleen Higgs, John Barry, Daniel Barry, Maureen Maznio, Michael Barry and Eileen Barry, now reside in Colorado after spending summers and winters in Old Forge, New York, boating and skiing.

In addition to her children and their spouses, Pat was dearly admired by her 12 grandchildren and four great grandchildren (with another on the way) who lovingly call her Mamu. Pat will be fondly remembered for her fiery sense of humor, her undying compassion for her family and friends, and her contagious laugh. A celebration of her life with family and friends will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at the Beaver Creek Chapel, with a reception to follow at The Calhoun Ranch at 47 W. Lake Creek Rd. in Edwards, from noon to 4 p.m.
