Three families in The Aspens mobile home park on West Beaver Creek Boulevard in Avon were displaced by a fire on Thursday afternoon.
The fire originated in a shed next to one of the three mobile home units that were damaged.
Crews were quickly able to contain the fire once they arrived on the scene. Five engines from the Eagle River Fire Protection District answered the call, and a Vail Fire engine and ladder truck also provided support. Backup engines were also en route from Summit County, but were called off once the fire was knocked down, said Tracy Trulove, a spokesperson for the Eagle River Fire Protection District.
“From the time that they told me they were heading to a fire to the time they had it under control was like an hour,” Trulove said.
Trulove said the additional support from neighboring fire agencies is commonplace when fire danger is as high as it is right now in Eagle County.

The three families whose mobile home units were damaged have been receiving support from the Red Cross, Trulove said. There were no injuries reported from the fire and a cause has yet to be determined.
Eagle County Paramedic Services and the Avon Police Department also responded to the incident.
