When you think of hypnosis, you may think of someone waving a pocket watch back and forth the way it was portrayed on TV years ago with some sort of hocus pocus associated with it. Kacee Picot is aiming to break those stereotypes and bring about the fun side of the subconscious with her Comedy Hypnosis Show at Route 6 Café on Tuesday night in EagleVail.
“Comedy hypnosis is exactly what it sounds like — hypnosis blended with hilarious entertainment,” Picot said. “It’s a live, unscripted show where volunteers from the audience experience real hypnosis and take part in playful, laugh-out-loud scenarios. The audience gets to witness just how powerful and fun the subconscious mind can be. It’s called comedy hypnosis because the laughter is real, the hypnotic phenomena are real and it’s all in good fun.”
Picot said the show will run for about an hour, starting at 8 p.m. Doors open at 7:30 p.m. The evening will start with a quick explanation of how hypnosis works (Picot assures everyone there will be no quacking or barking). Here, you get to see the show or be the show.
“I’ll invite volunteers on stage for a lighthearted journey into the subconscious mind. It’s safe, supportive and totally unscripted. Whether you’re on stage or in the audience, you’ll laugh, you’ll be amazed and you’ll leave feeling lighter. It’s a show unlike anything you’ve seen before,” Picot said.
Picot has been a part of the Vail Valley community since 1994 and spent nearly four decades helping people feel beautiful as a stylist and spa owner. She specialized on the people’s outside appearance but always knew there was something deeper. Now, she helps people feel beautiful and powerful from the inside out through hypnosis and coaching.

“After years of working closely with people, I realized how many were silently struggling,” Picot said. “I trained with world-renowned hypnotists and earned my certification as a hypnotherapist and integrative hypnotic coach. I’ve helped people break through limiting beliefs, reduce anxiety and even quit smoking — one client saved so much money after quitting smoking, he bought himself an e-bike! I’ve seen lives change, and I knew I had to share this work in a way that brings both healing and joy.”
Tickets to the show are $25 and can be found on Eventbrite. The ticket price includes one drink, so grab your friends, come early and have dinner before the show.
“Laughter is one of the best stress relievers and hypnosis can help people tap into a state of deep relaxation,” Picot said. “When you see someone believe they’re a world-famous singer or that they’re reeling in a fish, it reminds you that perception is powerful — and flexible. It’s a fun, memorable way to shake off stress and experience just how amazing the mind really is.”
