12:15 p.m.: Eastbound lanes of Interstate 70 over Vail Pass have reopened.
Original story: Interstate 70 eastbound is closed over Vail Pass due to safety concerns, according to the Colorado Department of Transportation.
The closure went into effect shortly after 11 a.m. Thursday and stretches from east Vail or Exit 180 to the Vail Pass Summit at Exit 190.
