A rider who trains with Winter Park Competition Center ended up in 14th place in the 2026 Olympic snowboard cross event in Livigno, Italy.

Stacy Gaskill of Golden, Colorado made it through the first two rounds before coming in fourth in her quarterfinal heat. Only the top two riders of the round advanced to the semifinals.

In the final round, Australian rider Josie Baff won the gold medal, Czech athlete Eva Adamczykova earned silver and Italian snowboarder Michela Moioli took bronze.

Snowboard cross, also known as SBX or boardercross, is a sports where four to six riders race at the same time down a steep, narrow course full of jumps, bumps, banks and rollers.

Debuting in the Olympics in 2006, it is a high-speed, chaotic event in which riders are reaching speeds up to 60 mph. Mere fractions of a second and slight, strategic moves can make all the difference between first and last.
