The Vail Valley Foundation’s YouthPower365 celebrated the graduation of eight AmeriCorps Peak Pathfinders members who worked with students across Eagle County schools during the 2024-25 school year. The graduation ceremony on Monday marked the completion of service at local schools for the program’s fourth cohort.
The eight graduating AmeriCorps members collectively served 12,688 hours, reaching 1,380 unique students across eight schools, with particular emphasis on Eagle County’s four middle schools.
Since August 2024, this cohort of AmeriCorps members have dedicated:
- 8,579 hours to in-school mentoring, tutoring and wraparound student support
- 1,023 hours to support after-school and out-of-school programming
- 575 hours at community events and supporting families and community organizations
- 2,200 hours to training and professional development, including college coursework and career preparation
Through structured professional development, educational opportunities, and hands-on experience, the Peak Pathfinders program creates a pipeline of engaged community leaders while addressing critical needs in local schools. Following Monday’s graduation, several AmeriCorps members have decided to join YouthPower365 to support summer camp programming.
The Peak Pathfinders program has been operating under uncertainty since April due to federal funding challenges. The future of the program for the 2025-26 school year remains unclear as the organization navigates ongoing funding decisions.
