Split Lip Rayfield comes to Vail Friday

VAIL, Colorado –Split Lip Rayfield, is sometimes classified as a bluegrass/alt-country band from Wichita, Kan., but truly they’re more like “thrash grass” – that is influenced stylistically by punk and heavy metal. The trio is mandolin player Wayne Gottstine, banjo player Eric Mardis, tied together by the harmony and deep-bass licks of Jeff Eaton.
