Vail Daily letter: Supports Layman

Vail, CO, Colorado

I am writing to give my unconditional recommendation and endorsement for Jeff Layman for Eagle County commissioner. I have known Jeff for many years from his time with the Vail Police Department, the chief of police of Avon, undersheriff for Eagle County and now his executive position with Eagle-Vail.

While he is running on the Republican ticket, Jeff is one of the unique individuals that is both socially conscious and fiscally responsible. His knowledge of the social programs for Eagle County and their needs is a big asset to those that live here in Eagle County.

His strengths and knowledge of how to run a fiscally sound budget and ideas for growth will benefit the residents that own homes here in Eagle County. More growth equals more tax revenues, which in turn keep our property taxes non-profits, of which I have the honor to be on one of these non-profits with him as a fellow board member, Vail Valley Cares-Thrifty Stores. The best thing that I can say about Jeff is that he truly cares and is passionate about Eagle County and its residents. I fully endorse him for the position of Eagle County commissioner and hope that you will consider voting for him for this position.
